We deeply respect the privacy of every account holder and every individual who visits the EllisDirect website. This Privacy Policy outlines the information our company may collect and how it may use that information. Should you believe this policy is not being followed, or if you have any questions, please contact the EllisDirect customer service team.

Personal Data

We will only collect basic personal information as part of our registration process. We will not collect personally identifiable information about you through our website unless you have provided it to us voluntarily. Additional information (such as address details) can be provided by you. However, this is not mandatory. We only request additional information so we can provide you with a more customized and improved service.

You can always alter your personal details by logging in to your Account and then on clicking on Edit Profile / Manage Addresses.

When you do provide us with personal data, we may use that information in the following ways:

• We may store and process that information to better understand your needs and how we can improve our products and services
• We may also collect information on your shopping and online activities and {on your preferences when you complete our online questionnaire and poll

We will never share any of your personal details with 3rd parties, unless:

• You have decided to take up a certain offer and EllisDirect requires your details in order to fulfill the offer. In this case we only require your first name, surname and email. EllisDirect may need to pass this information on to a partner company in order to process the fulfilment of the order. Partner companies are prohibited from contacting you directly, without your express consent.
• You have decided to participate in a competition, survey or questionnaire and EllisDirect requires your details in order to validate your entry or response.
• You have agreed via the opt-in that we may pass your personal details to other third parties to receive offers from them.
• A Member can at any time opt-out of receiving promotion emails from us by editing their communication preferences under the YOUR ACCOUNT Tab

Members can update their own personal account information at any time by submitting changes under your account area. Click on YOUR ACCOUNT and then on EDIT YOUR ACCOUNT DETAILS to make any necessary changes.

Tracking

The EllisDirect website uses cookies to track Member login and transactions. Acceptance of cookies is necessary for a Member to use the service and do NOT compromise your personal data in any way.

We use secure servers to securely hold your account detail and profile information. We also use secure server software for any additional information you enter through the EllisDirect website. All sensitive information, such as passwords and bank details are encrypted before storing them on the server.

Passwords

Each Member account is password protected and this information is only released to the Member and never exchanged with third parties. If you have forgotten your password, please visit the 'Forgotten password' section of the EllisDirect web site to reset a new password. EllisDirect is not responsible for any account activity that results from a Member not keeping their account details secure.
